I was so discouraged on my search for a remodeling contractor that in the last ditch effort I put a request into our neighborhood social network asking neighbors to recommend someone they worked with who was on time, on budget and took pride in his work.

I really lucked out when Roshan was recommended. From the minute we first met we knew he was a gem: dependable, knowledgable, meticulous, organized, flexible and always positive. Every afternoon when my husband would come home from work he was astounded by the fast progress of our remodel.

The crew would show up on time every morning and worked late to finish up. They came in on Saturdays and always vacuumed and cleaned up everything before they left for the day. I felt like a girl freshly in love, walking around, telling everyone about the amazing contractor that was transforming my house with a minimum of disturbance and stress.

"Terrific job on my kitchen completion project. Before Roshan worked on my kitchen, wires were hanging out of walls, counter tops were made of plywood and I needed more storage in addition to existing cabinets.

Believe me, my kitchen was a mess and now it's just beautiful!

Roshan replaced plywood with beautiful large natural stone tiles (far less expensive than granite slabs). He also replaced wall space with back splash tile work and used exposed wires to create lighting underneath my cabinets. The back splash tiles were then interspersed with pieces of natural stone taken from the counter tops and the combination is beautiful!

Overall, Roshan worked within my budget and worked tirelessly until everything was completed. I am thrilled with the new kitchen and highly recommend Roshan.

They were reasonably priced for the work they did. I thought that the quality of work was satisfactory. They are a smaller company but they did great work so I would recommend them to others."

So, having the 'best contractor ever' i.e. Roshan and his team is a rare find that I will never let go of. I met Roshan when I was just doing a lot of the projects on my house myself and he had to come and clean up after me when I got stuck, but he was happy to help in anyway and at such a reasonable rate that I started giving up doing anything myself and realizing that it was worth every penny to have him complete any and all projects in my house.

I had previously interviewed many other contractor but no one wanted to bothered by helping me with the small projects which has now turned into major renovations. Roshan did and really cares about making the client happy, being accessible, and understanding the urgency people have to get projects done one they have committed to it and fitting them into his very busy schedule.

With over 8 major projects (Seismic upgrade, new windows, kitchen counters, lighting, new doors, new bathroom, cabinets with a fish tank, new deck, new fence and most recently the finishing of my basement) and I can't even count the number of smaller projects with many more in sight for my future, I wouldn't even think to use anyone else. In fact my dad has always talked about flying him out to his house in order to complete work when necessary because he is THAT good.

I trust the Alive Design team so much that I give Roshan the keys to my house with all of my possessions including my three dogs which he is happy to say hi to during the day and not bothered by them when completing work in the house. That is how great I think and know Roshan and his team are, and you would be wasting your time to look anywhere else."

"Roshan and his crew helped prepare our home for going on the market. They painted the house, interior and exterior. He replaced the kitchen floor, and resurfaced kitchen cabinets. He also installed a kitchen sink, counter top, and back splash, replaced lighting fixtures in several rooms, replaced a section of cement in the driveway, and replaced hardware on doors and cabinets.

The front yard work he did was beautiful - people in the neighborhood were amazed at the turnaround and stopped by all hours of the day and night to offer their compliments. We believe that the work Roshan did in designing and installing the front yard added considerably to the value of our property. We had hired another contractor to gut and reinstall the bathroom fixtures, but they botched much of that job. Roshan helped the other company's workers install the shower system properly (they seemed clueless) and we hired him to clean up the mess that the other company made of the grouting and caulking of the tub and surrounding tile. Overall, Roshan and his crew did a good job with our long-neglected property.

Hire him again? Yes! Recommend him to others? Yes!"
